Has anyone fitted a red ECU on a Himalayan euro 4 USA model that conforms the euro 5 regulations.
Mine has been fitted with a tec 404 performance camshaft which has caused fuel injection problems, possibly due to the anti tamper software, so was hoping that the red ECU would cure the problem
 
Not sure about your model but if the ECU is separate from the throttle body then it is a yes.
With the tarrifs imposed on India you would be wise to buy from me.
Never heard of a tec 404 .
 
My Geography is that bad or I got my threads mixed up :unsure:
I do stand by the last part, I have stock;)
Why a US model in that part of the world?
Our models here are sometimes labelled " rest of world" it is even on my handbook.

Cheers, yes 2021 euro 4 that complies to euro 5 . As far as I can see the only visible difference is the plug on a the throttle body is e5, this I noticed when I tried to fit a Tec booster plug, before this I had thought the bike was a normal euro 4. The other difference is anti tamper software on the ECU.
When I bought the bike 800mile ago it was running well except about 4 occasions when it a ran like it is now. Injection timing and running lean. When these symptoms occurred before they disappeared when the bike was turned off then on again.
The bike has a performance camshaft supplied by Tec bike parts fitted. After I did a oil change and cancelled the service reminder the bike started up perfectly but after 20 seconds the above symptoms developed . Think this may have erased whatever hack the previous owner had managed to reset the e5 compliant ECU.
Have a red ECU on order 3wks wait from Himalayan tools .

Shame I didn't know already ordered one from Himalayan tools, 3 week wait
