India temporarily suspends postal services to US

Same here, like there is some confusion,,, like WTF is going on there?
 
The ban on shipments by India Post to USA has been extended to any and all items. Previously items valued below 100 US$ where exempt but not anymore. Now all shipping to the USA has been halted.
 
A President of the US has broken the law?
Or just acting Contrary?
No parcels is the least of their problems.

half of my customers gone thanx to orange man.
I may have to start a gofundme to keep operations up :cool:
 
I was told it is part of the MAGA plan to bring back manufacturing to the States, if you relocate then no Tarrifs apply.

Like a lot of "great" plans they come with great pain.
 
It seems DTDC world does accept shipments to USA - so I am off the hook for now.
Its more costly but I will be paying the difference until Postal works again.

wrong. dtdc is not shipping to USA - or rather they do but its a nightmarish procedure to get them to do it.

Single-handed he will destroy the US which will hand the reins to China as the worlds largest economy and superpower, all Empires end and this one is racing forward with both feet on the accelerator.

I have checked several courier services, many are super expensive, other require add paperwork from my bank which I am in the process of getting, long story short, it will take another week at least before I can ship anything to USA.
 
At what tarrif rate?
Has that been determined yet.
 
I have a few options once I get that paperwork done - some time next week I hope. I can only access prices after that.

this looks bad but lets not forget that US citizens have been very privileged: e.g. Germany has always levied 19% VAT plus 3.5% duty on imports from India, and similar costs are levied thru the EU.
 
luckily I currently only have one order from USA and its a very nice recurring customer who I have informed that it will take time to work something out.

everybody else seems to hold their horses - which is great given the situation.
 
VAT here in OZ is called GST it was introduced in 2000 and replaced sales tax. If you , as a non resident keep your receipts you can claim it back at the airport when you leave, it is a Local tax.
If I ship to another country the GST is not applied.
Must live in the Lucky Country :cool:
