I have asked to stay away from political opinion pieces or even remarks outside the Chatroom. this is a technical forum. But, we are also all friends here and we can exercise free speech in the chatroom. thats why we have it. Lets hope we can muster more intelligence than most of the world out there and allow conflicting opinions to stay without freaking out.

I want to say that Trump in my option has degenerated from being someone I trusted to at least do SOME useful work to a complete toy - in fact IMO he does way more damage than help in any way. Regarding the war in Ukraine I would like to quote a guy from a comment in Preston Stewards channel that I concur with 100% (and have done so for a long time):

Putin has too much Dirt on Trump.. Here in Russia everyone knows that.. It was public knowledge since the 90s.. He made shady deals with oligarchs,.. he got credits because he was in so much debt.. And they had videos from him and underaged russian girls in a famous russian Hotel.. Putin helped him winning the vote, because he knew he had him in his hands.. Trump is a russian Asset now. He will never support Ukraine substantially... You also see Hegseth with a russian Flag tie..

The Russia connection would explain a lot, I believe no Tarrifs have been announced for Russian goods wheras allies have been hit with at least 10%.
As much as I can not see this ending well ( in the short term ) I really do hope we can all get over this at some stage.
Huge turnouts reported for the "No Kings march" should present an opportunity but may result in further crazy stuff
