Not often is the car driver injured in a bike crash, maybe the bike is too heavy?

In my 20s in Uni a colleague of mine had a R90s BMW. He crashed into a small french car taking his right of way. The driver of that car was squashed to pulp while he just flew over the car and only broke his left thumb in the process. 250KG steel can do that to a car.
