I do have a win10 and a win11 system and 11 is far worse to work with. It also is far more intrusive so I was looking at options to keep 10 without running too many risks of getting hacked.
I decided to upgrade to Windows 10 LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel)
The process is straight forward, many YT videos show the process and the 2021 version will be supported til end of 2027 while the 2019 version til 2032.
It can be done without loss of any apps or data too. basically just installed on top of the existing home or pro version.
The license is not cheap (even on ebay) - I paid 50 bucks for 2021 - the 2019 is more expensive.
I guess I will revisit the situation when 2028 rolls around - I may switch to Linux if I can find decent replacements for the video editing stuff I own that runs on Windows only.
