You never know with these shady advertisement driven sites. But if true I hope they keep the old instrument panel

yeah i heard this news from a service center guy today, i assumed he was just making an estimate guess based on scram 440. but i saw on insta too

I guess the scram 440 is still the better choice, if only for the alloy wheels. Flat tires in the middle of nowhere are no fun unless you have tubeless.

443cc, 81mm bore, modified head Cam and larger throttle body ECU replaced with a red one :)

Stock bike on same Dyno was 22. Something.

Only thing I care is the six speed for relieving the engine when highway riding on the plains.

Of course western countries will never see this bike sold anyway...

... so all my hopes lie in the great guys here that are working their way into 411 six speed conversions using the Scram 440 available spare parts.

the biggest problem right now even for us in india is sourcing the parts, the delays are huge. i have almost all the parts except for gear shaft assembly. I m planning to make a detailed video once i get around finding a good mechanic who can help me install these parts

I have one set of gears, if you want I can send PM me

A bit of news: it will not be sold outside India - and comes with spoke wheels (which I personally do not like). My dealer expects it in his showroom in early October. I will have a look but as of now I still think the Scram is the better choice, if only for the tubeless tyres (anyone with a flat in the middle of nowhere will agree).

Adventurous souls with deep pockets and a love for their Himis could, theoretically, buy all the parts from India and put them on an old Himi 411 frame. I am pretty sure with minimal mods it will fit. the only thing not 440 then would be the frame and the wheels (too big to ship and the same anyway). It might even be cheaper than what a 440 Hima new in their country would cost if it was available.
Of course this can only be done by buying a complete bike in India and stripping it down - shipping everything leaving only the frame and wheels behind. I would guess the costs including disassembly over here, packing, shipping and the bike itself no more than 4000-4500 Euros.
In Germany the 411 Scram new sits at 4990.- Euros showroom price.

Smarter people may just just realise that 1hp more and an extra gear is not worth it when it is possible to make another 10Hp and make do with 5 gears :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
My record breaking and not yet challenged, 443cc build did that and had the same size piston as the New 440, but then I probably spent 4000Euros doing it:unsure:

your argument is relevant for a relatively new bike. mine is for a 2018 BS4 with 100k km on it and possibly some damage that does not entail the frame. In that scanario you would be the only owner of the 440 in your country and ppl would have to look at the RC to know its an old frame with everything else new. Its still a lot of work but some people like tinkering and nothing says expert like when you built your bike from ground up.
The story itself would be worth telling and I guess some YT videos would come out of this too. And you could also get the wheels, just not the tyres which are shit anyway.
Of course one might just send the entire bike over and an "expert" would renumber the frame to the old frame number. Easier, slightly illegal but not a big crime IMO. But also less of an adventure.
In Germany where we have the "TUV" it might even fly if you get a nice engineer with a heart for biker. The one HP more would be entered into the papers for a relatively small fee and hooray, its all legal.

I'll opt for being the only person to have achieved 48.5% power increase on a LS410.
IMO RE has failed miserably in its attempt to take my crown with both the 440 Scram and 440 Himalayan both of which they did not introduce to my market.

A bit of news: it will not be sold outside India
Is it official? I mean, I knew already deep in my heart... but also hoped to be wrong...

If so, then divine plans want me to go down the big bore path

Also I don't know all the details yet, but... from what I've heard of the 750 & with the 750 to come, it would've made more sense to me to phase out the 450 and do something for the emissions in order to sell the aircooled 440s worldwide.

Seems most of the people interested into 400 to 450 cc just want to be able to cruise highway speed and go offroad with a realiable and easy to work on machine... and you don't really need the 450 in order to do that once you have a 440 you can buy for less.

I had a look at the 440 Hima. It will be presented here day after tomorrow. Those IDIOTS gave it the same shitty simplistic instrument the Hunter and Scram has. It lost its only advantage over the 440 scram with that. Now I would have to figure out how to attach a Tacho.
But hey, it got the useless VD aka the TRIPPER.

After all these years of development I would have expected the same dash of the 450 honestly.
It's clear this bike is not supposed to compete with the 450 nor even replace the 450 once the 750 releases.
And of course it will never be sold outside India I believe now.
