New BS6 Hima 477 design plan using the 440 ECU/TB

OK, good news and bad news:

Good first: bike starts and runs great, first 30 seconds tends to stall but after runs without stalling.
Not driven yet but accelerates thru the rpm very lively. will test drive when rain stops.
runs better with fuelx pro on 7 or 8

Bad news: yellow engine light on permanently. tried 2 OBD2 adapters, one bluetooth, one direct connect, both give same readout, an error I have never seen before. This error can not be deleted from memory or it will immediately re-appear, tested 2 reader and 2 sets o cables so not a hardware issue.

Does the 440 have 2 O2 sensors?

I had no idea. It should be visible in the spare parts catalogue but what section? engine or exhaust? are they both attached to the same spot more or less?
 
Not sure where we are up to euro wise, but the Classic 650 have 4 sensors and I saw a 2025 Bullet with 2.
Second sensor is to pick up a signal after the Cat.
 
Euro 6 certainly but maybe even Euro 7:
(Even the old Scram had Euro 6 aka Euro 5+)

The Royal Enfield Scram 440 does not explicitly state compliance with Euro 7 standards in its launch information or specifications. However, the Scram 440 does feature an upgraded 443cc engine and a 6-speed gearbox, addressing some of the shortcomings of its predecessor, the Scram 411. The Scram 440 was launched in India in early 2025, and sales were paused in April due to a reported issue with the engine's ability to restart after use

the last sentence may have a bearing regarding the restart issues I had with the converted Himalayan. it may be an inherent bug of the ECU.
I will inquire at Ranjeets if that bug was fixed.

It may also be advisable to wait with your item until that problem is solved and error free units are available.
I have requested a return and update or replacement for my unit, lets see what comes of it.

Not being released here this year according to the Dealer.
Of course it is a failure, my 440(443) killed it!
They were beaten!

Like I always say, patience is the greatest virtue. So of course if we ll get an updated fixed version I will definitely wait!!! Keep me updated!!

Talked to Ranjeet. He says yes, problem existed but it was related to the electrical system (alternator) and not to the TB/ECU. I am a bit skeptical - he was once an expert but now he is mainly a business man so I leaved that open until I hear from Delhi.
Also the price of the 440 rose with its re-introduction to the market ... still have to find out by how much.

In the meantime I asked google and it seems Ranjeet was right.

The Royal Enfield Scram 440 is experiencing starting problems due to a faulty Woodruff key in the magneto. This issue affects a small percentage of bikes (around 2%) and causes difficulty restarting after the engine has been running. Bookings and deliveries have been temporarily paused while Royal Enfield addresses the problem.
 
If the bike gets imported in greece, I might get one for commuting and keep my HEAVILY modified 411 for tinkering. Or get a guerrilla still not sure.
 
fuel line off and fuel sample into bottle. the only way to share fuel on a modern ECU bike. just works with small spritzes per switching, so a slow process.
I do not see how the Injector would open and let fuel into the engine unless it is told to, its static state is closed.
