For a while i was under the impression that scram 440 wasn't worthy enough to upgrade if you already have 411. Well that's true to some extent for BS3 and BS4 variant with big bore kit and red box. But for BS6 411 with fused TB/ECU thats not the case, coz it's really difficult to squeeze out performance from bs6 himi with big bore kit and justify the price. So I had made my peace with the fact that I will just go along with HT cam, Perf exhaust, bmc AF and fuel x pro and call it a day. coz going by the reviews for 440 i didnt see there is any performance upgrade over 411, little faster acceleration but same top speed and the NVH level has reduced thanks to its 6th gear.
But here is the catch I test rode the bike yesterday and immediately felt the smoothness and zero clattery mechanical noise that 411 engine is famous for. and also found out that 440 uses smaller front sprocket to improve the bottom end further.
So here I am (@sam2019 can he help and guide me through this if its just FOMO at this point). thinking of getting Scram 440 Trail variant and upgrading it to Himalayan 440. Get the Side cage, mount the headlight to it. Change the front rim from 19" to 21". Not sure about the front fork it has 10mm less travel probably due shorter spacer that can be swapped too.
PS. I havent updated my HIMI2022 ecu to the one RE Released at the launch of scram 411, which many users reported improved NVH and throttle response.
