Dear All,

Please asist me in the following issue with my Himalayan 411 2023 (Last Euro 5 model)

When engine is cold at 18 Celcius ambient temp the bike starts immediately and then dies after 2,5 minutes idling then re-starts without any problem
and keep idling without stalling again.

When engine is colder at 12-15 Celcius ambient temp the bike starts immediately and then dies after 3,5 to 4 minutes idling then re-starts without any problem
and keep idling without stalling again.

If you start riding when engine is cold after 1-1,5 minutes idling, the engine will die after about 30-40 seconds and when re-start again there will be no further
issues.

My Bike has:
Hitchcock's Decat pipe
Red Rooster free flow exhaust
DNA air filter with DNA intake ring
Powertronics V4 (No values added below 1600 rpm)
Fuel X pro (Set to 8)
Kent camshaft
NGK Iridium plug
Hitchcock's performance intake and exhaust valves (Set to 0.08mm Inlet and 0.15mm Exhaust)
Motul 300V 15W50 oil

Best Regards

Various options come to mind. here is one:
I had the same problem with my BS6 and a similar configuration except it had a 477 engine.
This and other problems disappeared when a mechanic discovered the PT4 and FuelxPro has been wrongly connected. At the time I did not even think that would be possible but it was. A video conference with Racedynamics support via whatsapp cleared up the problem after which the bike ran much better (and no more stalling).
To check your situation I suggest you disconnect the PT4 and Fuelx, look if the problem persist, if not re-connect only the fuelx - check again and if the problem is still absent you found the culprit.
because you do not run a BB kit there is no issue with using the oem ECU.

Dear sam2019,

I removed the Fuel X Pro and connected the Oxygen sensor as was from factory but the problem remains.

The bike started and after about 3 minutes stopped. After started again the bike was OK and after a 30 kilometers ride not no problem even in heavy traffic.

Should i also remove the Powertronics V4 and install the emergency module provided as i have no values added to Powertronics V4
below 1600 RPM.

Best regards
Savvas

yes, I removed both. report pls if that solves it for the moment.
if it does not find a friend with the same bike and exchange ECUs for a day or two. if he has your problem we know the source.
there really isn't much else that can have a fault in the bare bone configuration that could lead to this symptom. except maybe the o2 sensor itself although that seems a remote chance and I would have no clue how it creates that fault.

Dear sam2019,

The ECU is attached on the throttle body and in Greece only a handful of bikes were sold.

I will remove the Powertronics V4 and install the emergency module provided by Powertronics and report back.

Best regards
Savvas

of course, my bad, for a moment I thought it was a bs4. well, then get a TB from your friend, same thing.
if your dealer has one in stock he might be willing to lend it for 2 days.

Dear sam2019, I removed the Powertronics V4 and installed the emergency module provided by Powertronics and the bike now is
not doing that at cold start.

Get Whatsapp on your phone and call +918123449292 or leave a message saying you need support how to correctly install PT4 AND Fuel Pro together. They will help (They did with me). I do not have the bike anymore so I can' be of assistance.

Thank you for you support. I am already in contact with Powertronics, they helped me before with Fuel X Pro and send new unit for free.

Best regards
Savvas
