J-Engine 410cc Thread

Saw a video of Gila Monster Rides having a problem with the 410cc big-bore kit. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
I replied there in the comments. look for HT. This is not related to the 410. IMO it is related to oil loss and overheating.

So the oil loss happened becourse the bike got to hot? The pressure went to high becourse off the hot wheather? Then de 410cc kit is still an option for me. Life in the Netherlands. 🙂

From what I could glean from watching all 3 videos he did change the sprocket, then had a small but unobserved oil leak at the shaft seal that at one point lead to overheating due to loss of oil which lead to cascading failures. Thats my theory at least.

My thinking is heat was a definite factor, but until he does a strip down we are guessing.
He had developed his own map( and didn't reply to a request to share it  ) he said he had it running good but how did he calculate that it was running well?
Not to over stress the importance of actually knowing how you engine is running as opposed to thinking you know how it's running but how is it possible to do without an AFR Meter ?
Readings taken from the OBD2 are guesstimations at best.
You can look at the spark plug after the fact but an AFR Meter gives a pretty good indication of how an engine is running.
Reading Oil temps doesn't tell you why it's hot and looking at a spark plug tells you how it was running just before shut down not what it was like on the hwy.
And AI probably directs you to a video by Hitchcocks :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Installed 410 two days ago. It looks promising. Haven't driven more than 80km, but I notice that the engine is stronger. Has DNA air filter and RE Precision exhaust, fuelx lite and have kept the original cam even though I have a Kent cam lying around. Will be fun to see when I get to run it in a bit. Thumbs up so far.
