there seems to be evidence that these plugs although quite expensive are worth the money. Combing thru the various forums it seems cold run is better, cut off is fixed and some even tell of less fuel consumption. Life expectancy is also about doubled compared to Bosch.

There are chinese imitations, especially on amazon - buying from a reputed dealership seems the way to go.

prices vary - if bought as single unti are around 9 US$, down to 7 US$ if purchased in 4 packs.

Lot of hype attached to the iridium plugs for the Himalayan.
They have a long life span due to the material of the centre electrode, meaning you can leave them installed longer, if that is a plus.
I have used stock plugs in some of my Dyno runs with no loss of power noticed.
I was unable to find a known brand iridium replacement for my 2024 Bullet but luckily was gifted one by a Dealer.
It is a double iridium plug from India that I have been told is made in China.

I always do make a point to change all my bikes to iridium.. there are two brands nikavi and NGK, to be honest it doesn't make much of a difference in performance maybe RPM is a but stable on cold start but could be placebo. I just change it for its longevity.

p.s. I think a high compression engine might benefit from consistent spark.

First of all, be aware because the OEM Himalayan 411 spark plug temperature would be converted into NGK CR7 class according to conversion chart (not CR8). I believe you can fit CR8s without issues afterall, might even help the engine run a little cooler.

I have tried both actually, since the previous owner fit an iridium CR8EIX and a local mechanic discouraged me since iridium works better on high performance engines (and my stock 411 is not). Reverted back to CR7E and honestly I found no difference. I still keep the CR8EIX as a spare. Surely is proven iridiums have the edge on span life, and this might be good for reliability during road trips.

CR8EIX might be good for you guys having big bore + cams + ECU since you then start pushing the engine.

I don't think the engine revs hard enough to justify the cost, didn't stop me from fitting iridium to me RE'S, only 1 plug!
